Hervé Guyader, lawer recognised by the Paris bar, President of the French Committee for International Trade Law, discusses the trade negotiations between the United States and the Pacific countries. According to him, France and the European Union should be interested by this issue as we are in the midst of complex negotiations for a free trade agreement with Japan, which seems to prioritise the American axis, rather than the European one. In Japan, these treaties are experienced as imposed by the US in order to enhance their economic weight and influence. For him, there is a duty of pedagogy in this essential area, which is why the European Commission should not stop to debate, even with non-specialists....
